2. Pick Your Pro URL

Choose the URL (the web address for your website) that you would like to use with your Odd Jobs Pro Website. This web address will be printed on your Flyer and Business card print outs, and will appear on your social media and online promotions. 

It is the location online for your website, where you can send people to see and order all the services you offer. So try to pick one based on the particular image you want to project to your audience. Pick the one that best suits your own style, personality and the angle or approach that you want to take. In other words, how you want to present your business.

For example, if you plan on offering only light duty services to your customers, choosing the URL yourname.HelpfulHand.pro would make sense since it suggests lighter “helpful style” work is being offered.

On the other hand, if you plan to offer more professional, skilled or heavier duty work, you may want to go with the URL yourname.IndependentContractor.work.

And if you plan on offering a mix of both, the URL yourname.OddJobber.pro or yourname.OddJobs.works would probably be most suitable. 

But these are only general guidelines. You can choose any one that you like and pair it with any mix of services. It’s completely your preference.

You can also use an existing domain name (URL) or register your own new unique domain name (URL) and use it with our system if you like. (In that case, you don't have to pick a Pro URL and unique code in the previous 2 steps - just leave it blank.)

If you do choose to use your own domain name (URL), you can pick any domain name registrar to register it. We prefer to use NameCheap.com for all our domain name registrations.

It is highly recommended that you upload an image of yourself to include in the About and Contact sections. This builds trust with the customer and allows them to see the actual person they are going to be dealing with.

If you aren't ready to upload your picture now, you can always come back here and upload your image at a later time, so no worries. Until you upload an image, we will use a placeholder image instead. For best results your image size should be: 900 pixels x 832 pixels in general (or larger). We will crop to size.

3. Pick Your Odd Jobs

Select the specific odd jobs, services, errands and tasks that you want to offer on your Odd Jobs Pro Website – from our extensive list (500+ services to choose from).

And don’t be at all discouraged if there are many tasks that you can’t perform. This is why we have included so many. The goal is not to pick every single task on the list. Being able to pick even just 20-50 tasks that you are confident performing is more than enough to sustain a thriving odd jobs business. Some odd jobbers only offer 5 to 10 services and make out very well.

Obviously, the more services you can offer, the better your money-making potential, but my point is… there are enough options here to freely reject the ones you are not fully confident in doing or are “iffy" about.

The beauty of our system is; that you can pick the exact jobs you want to do. Your customer will not see the services that you don’t select, so there will be no awareness of what’s not there. You will appear as a freelancer who offers specific services to local people in need of help with their everyday lives, duties, and tasks. Remember, you don’t have to represent yourself as some HUGE company who does everything. Odd job businesses can be any size and can offer any combination of services they want.

So make sure you are selective and only pick services that you are familiar with and confident that you can perform. If you’re unsure, try copying and pasting the task (right off our list) and into YouTube to instantly watch a tutorial video of how to do the task. Of course, you can always change your selections back and forth if you change your mind in the future, so don’t worry too much about it if you make a mistake.

Advanced Skills

This section contains services that require very specific trade skills and some that require a trade license where applicable.

These selections are only made available here as an option to those who may have these requirements and want to include these services. Consider these extra options that aren’t at all necessary.

The multitude of options given in the regular categories above are way more than enough to sustain a full service odd jobs business. Although you can pick as many as you want, being able to pick even just 20-50 options out of the 500+ listed above is still enough, so make sure you are selective and only pick services that you are qualified to perform.

If you are not qualified, simply skip this section entirely, as it is not necessary. Remember, offering services beyond your particular skill level can add “unnecessary difficulty” and “time consuming complication” to an otherwise “easy-to-do” and “perfectly simple” business.

So be smart, and build a business that offers tasks and services that you are fully confident, capable of, and happy performing, and leave the big jobs for all those 100’s of other “professional” companies competing with each other for them. Why compete?,,, when you can “complete and be on your way.” 

In other words, stick to what you can do fast & well and then be on to the next job. Don’t waste time trying to take on jobs you can’t handle. Use that time fully to do as many real money-paying tasks you can! We suggest to aim for “many easy jobs you can handle”, instead of “any hard ones you can’t.” As a result, you’ll make way more money faster, and be a lot happier.
